Dr. Tom Preston
A great mentor of mine told me that if you look at your childhood, you will see clues that lead you to your purpose and calling in life. In reviewing my childhood, I believe that statement to be true.
I was the kid that the other kids seemed to be drawn to when they wanted to share something important. Whether it was a new bike or new baby sister or the other side of the coin, some problem they were having at home or at school, I was often consulted.
In my early 30s, I started my professional consulting career. I had gone to the University of Toronto where I worked on a dual Biology/Psychology major before getting my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
I was running a very successful business designed and built in my ideal and based on my values. I was taking home a nice six-figure salary while working about 25 hours per week and taking 10-12 weeks of holidays per year.
Apparently my model of success was attractive to people in my profession because they started to ask me how I was able to do it while they were struggling. I did so many free phone consults back in those days that it got overwhelming.
I decided that I owed it to my wife and five daughters to either stop doing it or charge for it. I announced at the next seminar I spoke at that I was now offering a coaching service and four people signed up on the spot.
I had no clue what the profession of “coach/consulting” involved, but was certain I could help those that reached out to me so I reviewed how I created the amazing life and business I was living and Full Circle Coaching and Consulting was born.
Almost 25 years later, the thing that still drives me to get up at 5:30 a.m. most mornings to do what I do is the unshakable certainty I have in the power that each individual can be, do and have absolutely anything that their heart truly values and their mind can visualize.
The ability to open someone’s eyes to their incredible inborn potential and then teach them the skills needed to manifest it, while removing the blocks to its full manifestation, brings me joy at the core of my being.
The enhanced prosperity, joy, fulfillment and love I have witnessed in the thousands of clients Full Circle has served over the decades continues to drive me to serve even more clients and help them design the amazing life and business they were born to manifest.

I first met Tom Preston, our founder and fearless leader, back in 2005 when I was in chiropractic school. I had a tendency to listen to most speakers with a fair amount of skepticism relative to my peers. So when he started talking about learning the “value of everything you do,” I raised an eyebrow.
I think my exact sentence was: You mean to tell me you are going to teach me how to clean my toilet bowl and love it?
Tom without missing a beat said, “Yep. Just sit tight.”
And so he taught me and another 100 chiropractic students how to figure out our hierarchy of core values that very night.
A couple years later, after living through what Tom had taught us, I needed a coach, so I picked up the phone and said “Hey, you remember that guy from Palmer who was a bit of a smart ass, but wanted you to teach him the value of cleaning his toilet? Well, I’d like to discuss coaching with you.”
Somewhere between that phone call and Tom’s talk at Palmer, I graduated chiropractic school, started a chiropractic nonprofit, moved to Ghana where I met my soon-to-be wife (also a chiropractor) and then moved into an associate role.
It was the associate role working alongside my wife that spurred me to action. I didn’t want one of the “big” coaching companies to just come in and make our future office like one of theirs. I wanted our own thing, just like Christina and I had in Ghana — adjusting under trees, working in 97-degree heat and humidity and falling in love with the idea of marching to the beat of our own drum.
Recalling the toilet conversation with Tom, we knew Full Circle had the right principles to bring success into our lives. If you recall, however, 2008 wasn’t a great year – much like 2020, there was economic depression and a whole bunch of uncertainty.
Yet I remember reading in one of the FCC homework assignments: when the WHY is big enough, the whens, wheres, whos and hows take care of themselves. So, armed with almost no money, a small line of credit and a HUGE “why,” we moved from Illinois to Colorado and turned a profit our first month. There was no special sauce or one thing that happened.
Instead, a crystal-clear vision and a supportive coach allowed for the universe to present for us one amazing opportunity and coincidence after another. Ten years later, in 2020, we sold our chiropractic practice amid a global recession, at top dollar, and relocated our family of five to Orlando.
Now I’m a full-time dad, full-time coach and part-time real estate investor. I do the thing I love because it’s a choice. Everything is. Ask yourself this, because I did a million times on my way from Ghana to Orlando:
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Because the reality, is you will not fail. The accountability and systems of Full Circle will ensure you arrive at your destination and love the journey as well.

I remember the day I decided to become a chiropractor. I graduated high school as valedictorian with top honours and plenty of scholarship money. I was off to Queen’s University, where I intended to go into medical school. Everything changed, however, when I interviewed and shadowed medical doctors and realized the allopathic model simply didn’t feel authentic to me.
I no longer had that vision and focus. As a result, my marks suffered and I lost two scholarships. At the start of the next year, I sat down with a piece of paper and started writing down my dreams. I had a few priorities: living in cottage country on a lake, never worrying about paying bills, meet a wonderful woman and be a father. I also knew I was a people person who loved to help others, which was what initially drew me to medicine.
I went through all the potential careers that would allow me to achieve these things. BOOM! – there it was. I was supposed to be a chiropractor. I’d actually seen a chiropractor since age 11 and considered being one, but had lost sight of it. Arriving at it again was an epiphany, and a huge lesson that with a clear purpose in my mind, school could be easy.
In 2012, my wife and I had just finished building our dream home on a lake. We were just settling in with our two young children when I had a stark realization: I was BORED.
Looking back at my career, I’d had many successes. I’d built a thriving multidisciplinary healthcare office, had a large family chiropractic practice, mentored many doctors, served my profession at a high level in various roles and was a professional speaker. I volunteered in my community, travelled the world and received numerous awards of recognition.
I had even made my past dreams of living on a lake, being married to an amazing woman and having children come true. Though comfortable and happy, I felt like I had an itch that I couldn’t scratch. What would I do for the rest of my life? I knew how destructive it was to lack a clear vision and didn’t want to fall back into that.
I knew I needed help figuring out my future. Several friends of mine raved about the growth they’d achieved with Dr. Tom Preston’s coaching, so I reached out. About five minutes into our conversation, I knew this was it for me. Tom was the first coach who ever talked about creating a vision that was authentically based on your own values.
And so began my incredible journey.
Within a few months, I created a vision for the next 20-30 years of my life. Along that journey, I learned that I manifested much of my life through intentional practices that reflected my values. I got even more crystal clear about what these were and redesigned my life’s purpose, which is “To inspire and teach optimal human potential.”
I think it was then that Tom asked me to join his team as a coach, and I jumped at the opportunity.
During my life, I’ve had to learn some pretty tough lessons. But I’m grateful for these experiences, as they’ve helped me grow. I continue to create the life of my dreams. One of the most important lessons is to define success by your OWN idea. I spent so much of my early life trying to live up to an ideal of success as others defined it. Ironically, I realized that it was my projection of what I thought others wanted. Once I got clear that it was all about me being authentic, I found true freedom and joy.
As a coach, I love helping others on their journey of discovery and possibilities.
Connecting people with their true source of power (their core values and authentic expression) allows them to accomplish anything they truly value, with less stress and more passion than they can imagine. Life is a rich odyssey that you get one shot at. Let us help you create a life full of purpose and fulfillment!

I wanted to be a chiropractor since I was in the grade seven. My mom worked as a chiropractic assistant, and I shadowed our chiropractor for a day. By the time I left the office, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Young and full of determination, nothing and nobody was going to get in my way.
I graduated from National University of Health Sciences in 2000, married my grade-school sweetheart and began practicing as an associate in Gananoque. Four years later, we had a daughter, and I purchased two satellite practices. After another two years, we welcomed a son, and I sold one of my practices to gain a greater work/life balance. Everything was great – until it wasn’t.
In 2010, my father died in a battle with cancer. It turned my life upside down and had me second-guessing everything. I remember standing in my office and asking myself, “Do I really want to be a chiropractor anymore?” I’d lost my passion and drive for work and life.
My children were young, and I was exhausted trying to find that balance as a mom and chiropractor. I thought maybe I could push through and something would change. When that didn’t help, I reached out to some colleagues to ask about coaching. I couldn’t find anything that resonated with me until a friend told me about Tom at Full Circle Coaching and Consulting.
After a short conversation with Tom, I began to have clarity.
The idea of creating a crystal clear vision of what I wanted my life and practice to look like, my core values, what makes me tick and finding a balance between work and home lives really spoke to me.
At first, I hesitated, unsure about how to pay for it. My practice was just covering costs and feeding our family. But I had faith and took the first step.
Within six months, my practice had doubled, and coaching had more than paid for itself. Even more importantly, I found the balance and defined my own success as a wife, mom and entrepreneur.
It wasn’t long before our family life was turned upside down again. In 2013, my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Our lives were full of uncertainty. I needed to become our family’s primary income provider. I don’t think I’d have made it through these times without support from my coach, Tom.
His ability to listen, ask the right questions and guide me was a true blessing. One question he asked that changed it all was, “Why did you attract this into your life?” After hours of reflection, I understood that life happens FOR me, not TO me. I could see the blessings and benefits of Mark’s diagnosis, and my energy changed. I became thankful for all the wonderful new opportunities it provided.
With the equal support and challenge of my coach, it made the journey so much better. I love the path from where I started to where I am now. I’m passionate about sharing my journey and helping others find the clarity of what they want their personal and professional lives to look like while staying true to their authentic selves.
